In which age group, is depression most common?
Answer:
There is a peak of the first onset of depression around 30 years' age, and over half of depressed people have their first depressive episode before the age of 40.
There is also a pronounced risk for depression among elderly people, but their depression seldom starts at high age. Only 10 % of all depressed people have their first depressed episode befoe 60 years' age.
