An affair

I am married and having an affair with my high school sweet heart who is also married. We have started seeing each other for the past 6 years but intensely for the past 2 1/2 years. I am extremely in love with him and I don't know what to do. He pays alot of attention to me, ensures that he talks to me daily even if we don't see each other each day. I thought by now I would have known where I stand with him. He is not having a problem with his wife and so home life appears to be good, but I don't know if I want to stay in this situation anymore, but my heart hurts just thinking of not being with him. We have broken it off before and we would end up missing each other so much that we would make it back together. I really need to settle down and decide on what direction I should take my life. I am 36 and also want to have another child. What should I do? And above all people tells me he not any good (he is a cheater). But he denies it. HELP
