i have pure o ocd for two years already. i once try to get near to knives and gun for an hour or more than that. i called that my therapy. i want to know wheter i m doing the right thing or not. since when i get near them i have more thoughts and voices ask me to do that.
i guess you have to ask yourself if you really would do it, its not worth to do it if you got in jail and such, so trust yourself and confront and empty gun at first
