Dr. Visits

My husband had cancer two years ago and is now having scans every four months to determine if he is still cancer free. My problem is the anxiety I have about him seeing doctors. I try to always do the right thing by him but I wind up driving him crazy trying to comfort me about his doctor visit. Truth is I have always been nervous about his doctor visits. I am always afraid of them finding something wrong and I feel so out of control. The logical part of me knows he needs to see a doctor for physicals and check ups but there is a part of me that just panics inside. It helps in some ways if I can go in the exam room with him. He doesn't mind but ocassionally we run into a doctor who does. We both feel that should be our choice. He has another scan tomorrow and I have dreading the appointment ever since it was made.
