Child molestation (incest) by adult relative

I am a vigilant parent and grandparent. I am single, age 51. Child molestation, pedophilia, child abduction is all over the US news right now and here in my home state it is at the forefront in the news because of more than several serious incidents of the above. The subject line states my concern. The worst being the public cases, however in the arena are the closer to home, in the home cases that many times remain silent, denied and many times the most damaging. I recognized something in my research tonight. I've been suspect over time in all of this - but the secret is out when my 4-year old granddaughter told me she has a secret and when I asked what it is she said, "Uncle Jeff" which probably is her live in step-grandfather's penis name. We talked numbers (something disassociating to a child during the act) because it was my birthday. Coincidental in nature. I alerted authorities when in my presence an incident occurred that I did not understand at the time and instinctively felt something was wrong. The authorities said it was a family matter and to handle it within the family. What this man did was pick her up at the age of 3 and more than likely put his tongue in her ear. What was so alarming was the fact that she slapped him very hard across the face whereby he put her down. I was stunned. Subtle sexual explotation of these two girls has occurred unchecked except by me and I become hysterical and difficult to explain or prove anything of any nature. I can't seem to talk to the girls because of the authority of their parents instructing them in whatever need be. This revealed secret is something I cannot take to the authorities and need guidance on how to gently proceed level headed for them to believe or further investigate this secret. Irregardless of the fact of these inuendos of a sexual nature the girls remain in any event seemingly well adjusted and hope in later life nothing rears its ugly head. Drop it? Just be there and hope more is revealed? This is killing me. The little one according to her mother is a wild child stating she's ADHD that in her best interest remains unlabled and undiagnosed and non-medicated. Her acting out so could have other underlying reasons. I do not live there. I haven't visited since Christmas because they do not want me there. I do not know the signs. I do not know a child's lingo. A pedophiles lingo. My hands are so tied. I do know that when the eldest told me that SO and SO was taking me to the empty apartment to see how the cats play. Detectives were all over that place within 2 hours, 4 states away. What do I do? Show up on their doorstep one day? I had it out with that man over the ear incident he does not like me tolerated me over the holidays and as the official cash cow in the house more than likely has given instructions to bar me from visiting. The four year old has a secret.

Call the child abuse hotline they will investagate all claims.. To have the 4 year old open up again ? who knows if she will... I am going through the same thing with my 4 year old daughter. She told me her father my husband was as she described performing oral sex on her. I am in a battle for her voice to be heard at this very moment. Waiting on the Childrens justice center to set an appointment. Which my shy withdrawn terrified daughter might not speak of it again. Daddys secret Daddys loving as she called it. It is killing me as well. I'll pray for your grandaughter. I called the abuse hotline they came out the same day, Get Department of Children and Family services involved. It is much more than a civil matter. My 4 year old daughter did not speak of it to them though, They will finish there investagation at The justice center. Which I pray she has the courage to come foward as well as your grandaughter
